Let’s Talk About Shadow Work

Stop suppressing that LION within you just to make someone else comfortable. THEY ARE NOT FOR YOU!

“There is no coming to consciousness without pain. People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own soul. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.”

~ Carl G. Jung

Everything comes full circle regardless if you want it to or not.

Who you really are will always, somehow or way, manifest into your reality.

So often we attempt to hide ourselves to please others at our own detriment.

Qualities of you become muted and you people please to keep folks around. That is fear. I recognize it. I LIVED it.

People hear shadow work and think it’s evil. That’s because society has conditioned us so much to think anything dark is twisted or demonic. When it comes to facing your darkness, your fears, the real YOU, nothing is EVIL ABOUT THAT. It’s FREEING.

You can’t have light without darkness.

Life is all about balance and if you are not capable of facing and embracing every part of you, the good, the bad, and the ugly parts you try to hide, you will never truly reach the heights that you’re destined to reach.

Shadow Work is LIBERATION.

It is NECESSARY.

Being Intentional is owning up to every aspect of yourself. Understanding that through these imperfections we find BALANCE.

It may not be approved by some but those parts of you are you and that has to be EVERYTHING for you!

By embracing my shadow I am capable of walking freely as myself. Speaking impeccably and true regardless of who wants to hear it. Mute or unfollow me. (BYE)

What’s for me is for me.

I’m reclaiming my gifts.

I use to sing boldly and rap loudly. I use to compose. I remember someone doubting me as a teen, telling me I couldn’t sing, not liking my music, dissing it any way they could. It broke my spirit and my faith in myself.

I fell for their projections. It muted me.

I fell into patterns of allowing folks to make me feel small.

I was ok with being in the background and not standing out.

Never wanting too much attention on myself.

Just passing through life.

Through shadow work I liberated myself.

I’m not a victim I am victorious.

No one will ever mute me again.
