Here are a few of my favorite home remedies and tips to help you guys get through this crap!
To support your body and kick out any viral invasions currently going on, you can make a decoction of Sage, Thyme, Garlic, Onion. Let it simmer on low for about 30 to 45 mins. Drain and Strain. Add in Raw Honey. Children over 5 and Adults can take 2 tablespoons up to 3 times a day. 2 to 4 2 teaspoons up to 3 times a day.
AVOID ANTI-INFLAMMATORY FOODS WHEN YOU ARE FEELING ILL. Increase your vegetable in take. More Greens, kale, collards, cabbage, broccoli, etc. More onions and garlic as they have anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties.
No sugars, diary, processed foods, alcohol, or caffeine as this aids in the overproduction of mucus in your system which causes disease.
Some Antiiviral herbs to consider are Astragulus, Echninacea, Garlic, Thyme, Turmeric, Shitake Mushrooms. You can add these herbs to food, broths, or even make teas and tinctures with them.
Astragulus and Echinacea are also immune supporting.
Get REST. A lot of folks only want to get somewhat better just to get on the go. Sometimes our bodies are saying we need to SLOW DOWN. So LISTEN and slow your asses down.
And that doesn’t mean just sleeping. Meditate, do yoga get out and get some sunlight, sun bathe. But take time for YOU!
Sore Throat Remedy: Hot water and a pinch of Cayenne pepper. I honestly drink this often as the anti-catarrhal components obliterate mucus.
Sage, Garlic, & Thyme Gargle is bomb too. Boil 2 cups of water. Add ingredients to hot water and let steep for 30 minutes. Add a tablespoon of salt once done. (Mother Dear would have me lick the salt before gargling but you can just add the salt to the mixture.) Gargle as often as possible.
Ginger lemonage hot. I add everything to mine. lemons, oranges, garlic, and onion. Look I put garlic and onion in everything. Cayenne, turmeric. This will help push it all out! Add some honey. You’ll be feeling better in no time.
I don’t think I can emphasis enough to get REST.
AVOID FRUIT JUICES way tooo much sugar! INCLUDING ORANGE JUICE! If you aren’t freshly squeezing that shit yourself don’t drink it.
