I won’t lie to you guys, I’ve been slacking lately on my health and wellness. Letting myself go.
Making a ton of excuses and eating things that I know are not helping me.
I’ve been really down, frustrated at times, and I know the solar eclipse and mercury retrograde has also had me up and down.
This morning though, I said enough is enough. I got up. I’m making my power blend tea. I’m going to eat some watermelon! I just did 25 squats and I have 9 more reps to go!
I say all that to say is OUR MIND CAN EITHER MOTIVATE US OR EXCUSE US FROM BEING OUR BEST VERSION OF OUR SELVES.
I will not sit here and make excuses anymore! I have to will myself to make better decisions nutritionally because I ALREADY KNOW BETTER!
My Dad having Cancer and my Mom being murdered is no excuse for me to down a burger or over indulge in fries!
I still have young men who need me here and eating my way through depression isn’t going to cut it. When I’m eating right, working out regularly, meditating often, and doing my daily work I at my best!
I say all that to say I really hope this inspires anyone going through the motions right now. Baby it happens to the best of us.
We are ALL in this together and day by day, do what you have to do to get back to you!
My homegirl Rocki has a 10 set of 25 squat challenge going on and I am on it! About to do my second rep RIGHT NOW!
Nutritionally, I’m not saying I’m going full vegetarian, or pescatarian, or what but I know I need to get back into the habit of cooking regularly and not going out here and their or buying processed foods! I know better!
I’m leaning into the anti-inflammatory diet right now. No processed foods, no wheats, NO MORE SUGAR AT ALL, no dairy, and no alcohol or gummies lol. I need a full detox yall! Off it all!
This is my preference. Do what works best for you my loves! And if you falter just dust yourself off and try again!
